Quiz Presenter Mode Guide

Learn how to present quizzes like a pro using the fullscreen presenter mode

Overview

Presenter Mode transforms your quiz into a Mentimeter-style fullscreen experience, perfect for:

  • Live presentations and workshops
  • Team meetings and training sessions
  • Classroom activities
  • Conference engagement

The presenter view displays on your screen (or projector) while participants answer on their phones.

1 Create Your Quiz

Setting Up Questions

In the Admin panel, navigate to the Quizzes section and click "Create Quiz".

  • Quiz Title: Give your quiz a memorable name
  • Questions: Add multiple choice questions (2-4 options each)
  • Time Limit: Set seconds per question (10-60 recommended)
  • Speed Bonus: Enable to reward faster answers with more points
  • Images: Optionally add images to questions

2 Open the Lobby

Let Participants Join

Once your quiz is created, click the "Open Lobby" button on the quiz card. This allows participants to join before you start.

The lobby:

  • Shows the session code for participants to join
  • Displays a live count of players who have joined
  • Shows animated bubbles as each person joins

3 Open Presenter Mode

Launch the Fullscreen View

Click the purple presenter button on your quiz card:

Presenter Mode

This opens the fullscreen presenter overlay. Share this screen with your audience via projector or screen share.

Pro Tips

  • Click the fullscreen button (top right) for maximum impact
  • Wait until most participants have joined before starting
  • The join code is prominently displayed for latecomers

4 Run the Quiz

During the Quiz

Click "Start Quiz" in the presenter view to begin. For each question:

  • Timer: Large countdown shows time remaining
  • Progress Bar: Visual indicator of time left
  • Live Responses: See response count update in real-time
  • Answer Counts: Each option shows how many selected it

After Each Question

When time runs out, the presenter automatically shows:

  • The correct answer highlighted in green
  • Percentage bars showing how many chose each option
  • Updated leaderboard

Click "Next Question" to continue or "Show Final Results" on the last question.

5 Show Final Results

Celebrate the Winners

The final screen displays:

  • Trophy Animation: Celebratory trophy icon
  • Podium: Top 3 winners displayed on a podium (2nd, 1st, 3rd)
  • Full Leaderboard: Complete rankings with points

Click "Close Presenter" when finished to return to the admin panel.

Presenter Controls

Available Controls

  • Fullscreen Toggle: Click the expand icon (top right) to enter/exit fullscreen
  • Close: Click the X button to exit presenter mode
  • Start Quiz: Begins the quiz from the lobby
  • Next Question: Advances to the next question after results

Best Practices

Tips for a Great Quiz

  • Test beforehand: Run through your quiz once before the live session
  • Keep it snappy: 15-20 second time limits keep energy high
  • Enable speed bonus: Rewards quick thinking and keeps people engaged
  • 5-10 questions ideal: Long enough to be fun, short enough to maintain attention
  • Share the screen: Use Zoom/Teams screen share for remote audiences
  • Read questions aloud: Helps reinforce and engages auditory learners
  • Celebrate winners: Take a moment to congratulate the top performers
